My Review

If you’re looking for a thrilling audiobook free of cost, then “The Undead, Part 12” by Joe Jameson is just what you need. As a listener, I have mixed feelings about this series. On one hand, it feels like it’s dragging out, making me anxious to finish, but on the other hand, I don’t want to say goodbye to the characters I’ve grown to love.

The attention to detail in this audiobook is commendable. Some parts are incredibly captivating, while others make me wish I could fast forward. I won’t spoil anything, but I must admit that this particular book was tough to get through. The direction it took and the ending left me dissatisfied. However, the aspect of uncovering the origins of the virus is intriguing, keeping me hooked and wanting to know more.

The new characters introduced by Joe Jameson are well-developed, with the exception of an annoying little boy. Hearing the English pronunciation of words like “vitamins” adds a refreshing touch to the narration. Although I still prefer Dan Morgan as the narrator for this series, I’ve started getting used to Joe’s style, and it no longer bothers me as much.

Compared to other zombie series, such as “All Dead,” I must admit that I enjoy that one more. However, Joe Jameson proves himself to be an excellent storyteller. He knows how to strike the perfect balance between providing necessary details and dropping ones that aren’t crucial. The audiobook is incredibly easy to listen to, with countless real-life-like moments that suck you into the story and make you care deeply about the characters and their fates.

I’ve even restarted this series for the second time because the release of the latest audiobook took so long. It’s vital for me to freshen up on the story, and I hope that future releases won’t suffer from a similar delay.
